About Rockhouse
Our mission is to lead our community towards a growing faith built on the rock of Jesus Christ.
Rockhouse Christian Church was founded in 2026, when a group of men and women wanted to build a church for believers to live in Community and point others to build solid foundations of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that our faith is like a house, which needs to be rooted on the foundation of the Gospel. Today, we do this through weekly worship, ministries, and groups to foster community and intentional growing relationships on the Rock of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 7:24-27 NIV
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
CORE VALUES
-
Our desire is to love, know, and become more like who God is every day through a growing personal relationship with Him. Worship is how we, as Christians, get to express our love and respect for God. Individually or as a Church, we worship God to praise Him, express our love for Him, and grow in our relationship with Him. Two ways that we can become more like God and grow closer to Him are through reading His Word and living in Christian Community. We believe that it is important for believers to Love God and take part in the spiritual disciplines involved in a growing relationship with Him.

Rockhouse Christian Church aims to be a friendly church, and to follow the example of Christ’s love to people. Rockhouse hopes to be a church that welcomes new faces, meets together in community, and spurs one another on in good deeds. This love for people comes out of the love that God had for us, by sending His son to die for us. Because of this Good News, we can not share that same love with others.
Romans 1:15-17; Hebrews 10:24; 1 John 4:19; Matthew 22:37-39
-
Jesus set the example for believers of what it means to humbly serve others. We believe that we are called to serve inside the ministries of the church, but also outside the walls of the church - in our communities and around the world. As each believer has unique gifts given by God - the purpose of service is to build God’s Kingdom and for Him to be glorified.

Rockhouse Christian Church wants to be a church focused on community that puts the interests of others before its own. We desire to live lives looking for what we can give away and who we can bless. We hope to be a church that serves people for the Glory of God and the benefit of others. As individuals and as families, we practice tithing and strive to be good stewards of the resources God has given us.

At Rockhouse, we believe that giving is a command found throughout scripture, and a blessing to believers today. We hope to be a church that generously gives back to God what is already His. As a church, we value regular tithing of our first fruits, stewarding the resources we have for God’s Kingdom, and honoring that everything we have belongs to God.
Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Malachi 3:10
OUR BELIEFS
-
We believe that God is the Creator over all creation. There is only one God, who eternally exists as one essence in three equal persons as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary, took on the appearance of man, and came and lived among us. He lived a sinless life and sacrificially died on the cross - substitutionally atoning for the sins of all who believe and trust in Him. The bodily resurrection of Jesus gives all believers victory over sin and death and hope for a future. The only way to eternal life and a personal relationship with God the Father is through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is an equal member of the Trinity and was sent by the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit shows man the need for a Savior, and brings conviction of sin. A believer receives the Holy Spirit upon the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit guides us, helps us, advocates for us, and leads us. The Holy Spirit gives out spiritual gifts for the purpose of serving and building up the Church. We desire to live a Spirit-filled life under all circumstances, decisions, and situations.

We believe that mankind, male and female, is created in the image of God. We believe that all of man is fearfully and wonderfully made, and is God’s handiwork. Yet, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are separated from Him and without hope, apart from the freedom that comes from belief in Jesus Christ.

We believe that Salvation is the free gift of God for all who believe. Salvation is only given by grace alone, through faith alone, and through Christ alone. As all of man are sinners and separated from God, a price was needed to be paid to atone for our sins. The death of Jesus on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. Every person can be forgiven and saved by Christ, regardless of their sins. Salvation is available for any person who puts his or her trust in Christ as Savior. To put one’s trust in Christ is to ask Him for the forgiveness of sin, believe in Him, and repent from their sins. We believe that every believer should follow Jesus’ example and obey His command to be baptized as a public confession of their faith.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice for believers and the church. The Bible is alive and active. The Bible is Truth. It is needed and useful for all.
-
We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ - sent into the world to share the Gospel to the world. The Church’s purpose is to worship and glorify God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Church is a witness to the world. It is important for all believers to be involved in a local church which models the practices engaged by the early church.

We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to the world to make all things new. This is called “the second coming of Christ.” He will return personally, bodily, visibly, and suddenly. He will judge the living and the dead upon His return. He is worthy of our worship, and His return will bring victory over sin, death, and all suffering.
